FEAR

There is an old saying that says, “You Have Nothing to Fear except Fear Itself!” How true it is.

False
Experiences
Appearing
Real

I've thought about this all day.

Fear is the thief that comes in the night to rob you of your dreams.

Fear keeps us all in our comfort zone. It keeps us from stepping out and doing things we know we should. Our thought of failure or being ostracized allows fear to reign.

Fear arises when you listen to other people when your own inner voice tells you different. Fear lets other people control your life. Fear keeps you from achieving personal dreams and goals.

People do things out of fear of loss. How many people have just finished a long hard day at work when the boss asks you to work over? You know you promised you wife, kids or someone you would meet them for some time together, but out of fear of losing a job, losing a paycheck you are held bondage to, you “don’t” take a stand and give in to your fear.

How many people work with people they don’t really care to be around? How many people put up with bad attitudes and behavior? How many people are where they are out of fear of changing jobs or professions which would pay less but be more enjoyable? The fear of losing power, prestige and possessions is probably the most powerful fear.

Tony Robbins described the similarity in the physiology of two polar opposite emotions: Fear and Excitement. The only difference between fear and excitement is a different expected outcome - one negative and one positive.

When you live in fear of losing your position, it puts a lot of pressure on your family and all facets of your life. When you do something because of fear of loss, clear, conscious decisions are not the norm... Instead, hasty unthought-out decisions; often with long term back lashes become the result.

Low self-esteem is a form of fear; it keeps one from being, doing and saying what they feel. They are afraid they will be corrected or looked down on for what they say or do.

Fear can also be a motivator; sorry to say motivation out of fear of loss of possessions usually leads to a wrong decision. It will make a person lie, cheat, steal and even worse. Motivation out of fear of loss of life or limb, a loved one or you social position can lead to a positive change.

Should a child of God experience fear?

God's Word says He will not give us a spirit of fear, but love, peace, and a sound mind. Also, there is no fear in love (God's love) and Perfect Love (God's love) casts out fear.

The Bible in Matthew 6 tells us that God knows every need we have and we need not worry but we should seek the Kingdom  of God and His righteousness.

The most effective way to battle FEAR is to try and move from FEAR to EXCITEMENT.

Let the Holy Spirit take control of your life and you will know truth when you hear it.
