Links to mission opportunities where you may be lead

Through my home church, Summit Baptist  in Acworth Georgia, there are opportunities to serve with jail and prison ministries, community outreach and ministering to the homeless and those in shelters. There are also The Builders for Christ  and The Masters Builders construction teams, which help build a church building each summer.

A site for information on projects and churches in the Appalachian region is http://www.arministry.org/  this site will allow you to see the needs of people and churches from North Alabama to Virginia.

God has led me to be involved with World Changers, which is a ministry of The North American Mission Board. It has over 100 projects worldwide planned for the summer 2005. Each summer World Changers projects need adult volunteers to supervise youth in the repair of homes. Construction knowledge is helpful but not always required. If you have an interest you can see the project locations and dates at http://www.studentz.com/wc/map.asp

http://www.housecalls.net   is a Ministry based in Atlanta, Ga., with offices in Birmingham, Al. They have year round projects as well as handling the logistics for World Changers in Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama.

http://servemg.com is an Atlanta based ministry their mission is to provide quality project management for organizations seeking to meet local missions needs. Please check out the opportunities available in Murphy, NC

http://reconstruct.org/ ReConstruct is a Christian organization that equips and prepares students and adults for a lifetime of mission service by providing opportunities to assist low-income residents in the repair and rehabilitation of their homes. ReConstruct is based in Nashville Tn.

http://www.charlestonoutreach.org/ Charleston Outreach has year round mission opportunities for individuals and groups, some include construction, healthcare, multifamily housing and many other mission opportunities.

http://namb.net/ has many opportunities for involvement in local, state, country or international missions

http://www.arministry.org/NAMB.asp list many mission opportunity's.

The Bridge is a NAMB website which allows you to register to be contacted about places and or projects you would be willing to serve at or to view projects which have needs.

If you have a site which is involved with volunteer community service through your church or another Christian Ministry I would like to hear from you.

An excerpt from Soul Journey  Praying, reading the Bible, and listening to the Holy Spirit are dangerous activities. They might just get you out of your secure, comfortable life and into situations where you thought you’d never be. It might just be the best thing you ever did. —Dave Egner
