to mission opportunities where you may be lead
Through my home church, Summit
Baptist in Acworth Georgia,
there are opportunities to serve with jail and prison
ministries, community outreach and ministering to the homeless
and those in shelters. There are also The Builders
for Christ and The Masters
Builders construction teams, which help build a church building
each summer.
A site for information on projects and churches in the
Appalachian region is http://www.arministry.org/
this site will allow you to see the needs of people and churches
from North Alabama to Virginia.
God has led me to be involved with
World Changers, which is a ministry of The North American
Mission Board. It has over 100 projects worldwide planned for
the summer 2005. Each summer World Changers projects need
adult volunteers to supervise youth in the repair of homes.
Construction knowledge is helpful but not always required. If
you have an interest you can see the project locations and dates
at http://www.studentz.com/wc/map.asp
